Wachau valley looks back at almoust 2000 years of tradition in wine growing - and you can learn a lot about this tradition in Weissenkirchen.

But the wineries in Weissenkirchen are not only celebrating their traditions - they have already become successful players in a global market. Many vintners operate a Heurigen and at some wineries you can even stay for your holidays - the best chance to watch wine-growing and -producing as close as possible.

For all who do not have a preferred vintner right now: at the wine-shop  Vinothek "Thal Wachau" (opened April - October) you can taste and purchase wine of around 20 wineries located in Weissenkirchen.
